Santa Barbara Nutrients is Now Managing Ren-Nu

SBN is delighted to share news about the future of kidney health nutrition. The Kidney Nutrition Institute (KNI) and Santa Barbara Nutrients (SBN) are embarking on new paths forward. After a fruitful partnership that pushed the boundaries of nutritional therapies for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), both companies will pursue their separate efforts to serve individuals with PKD even better.

KNI will continue to run a ketogenic nutrition program for PKD under a new name, RISE Nutrition for PKD. The program will continue to be run by nutrition experts, emphasizing evidence-based nutritional therapies tailored just for individuals with PKD. KNI and RISE are committed to providing cutting-edge ketogenic and PKD nutrition strategies to help patients be proactive in their health.

SBN is continuing to provide its nutrition & lifestyle program under the Ren-Nu brand. Ren-Nu remains focused on SBN's innovative medical food KetoCitra supported by education to implement very low carbohydrate, ketogenic nutrition low in renal stressors. The Ren-Nu program will continue to support SBN's ongoing and future clinical trials. Besides being tested in clinical trials, the Ren-Nu program will be offered to the general public starting in early 2025.
