Santa Barbara Nutrients (SBN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jessianna Saville to SBN’s advisory board, where she will bring her 17 years of renal nutrition experience as well as knowledge of building and growing nutrition resources and programs for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

Jessianna founded Kidney Nutrition Institute in 2016 to help people with kidney disease be able to better utilize nutrition and lifestyle choices. The mission of Kidney Nutrition institute is to drive nutrition solutions that positively impact people with kidney disease. Her team of dietitians has been central around creating the Ren.Nu nutrition program and helping to pioneer a plant-focused ketogenic approach for people with PKD.

Jessianna has her masters in healthcare management from Marymount University and her dietetics degree from Utah State University. She is the recipient of the 2023 National Kidney Foundation Susan C. Knapp Excellence in Education, and the 2020 National Kidney Foundation Renal Dietitian of the Year.

Through the Ren.Nu program, Jessianna’s team is involved with several upcoming clinical trials and other research efforts on the horizon. They continue to work hard to find ways to personalize the approach for greatest efficacy for each individual patient.

She joins the Board at an exciting time in the company’s development and is deeply passionate about KetoCitra® and SBN’s other potential future products and services to support the PKD community in its objectives to slow down the ravaging effects of kidney cyst growth on kidney function. She believes strongly that preventative lifestyle and nutrition should be the first line therapy for all people with kidney disease to help them achieve their best outcomes.
