Chief Executive Officer
Gregg Betz brings 30 years of international experience in building successful businesses across a variety of industries.
Graduating from the Business School of the State University of New York at Albany with a concentration in Finance, he first came to Europe in 1990 to complete intensive studies at the International Business School in Copenhagen.
Beginning his career working with privatization in Warsaw, Gregg soon became sales manager for Gerber Products Company in Poland and spent the next 6 years working with the company in various general management and business development roles, primarily in the Czech Republic and Hungary.
From 2000 – 2013 Gregg worked in internet and telecom with the Pantel / Invitel / Euroweb group of companies, initially focusing on M&A, then serving as Chief Commercial Officer, and for the last 6 years as CEO. After leading the private equity owned group of companies through its sale to Turk Telecom, Gregg remained with the new combined Pantel / Turk Telekom International as CEO from 2010-2013.
From 2014-2017, Gregg was CEO for Scitec Nutrition, transforming a founder-led sports nutrition business into a professional multinational company complete with worldwide sales and over 100 franchise stores, a partnership with the Hungarian Olympic Committee, and sales on all continents, culminating with leading the company to its sale to Ascendis in 2016.
Since 2018, Gregg has been focused on numerous renewable energy and sustainability initiatives, rolling out solar fields in Hungary and co-founding Impact Scope, helping social enterprises access Web3 tools.
Gregg is a long time meditator and board member of the Vipassana meditation organization as well as United Way Hungary and speaks Hungarian, Polish, Czech, and Romanian.
